This policy covers the FrameSubtitle app, this support website, and email support.

Video and transcription

The app processes selected videos, extracted audio, transcription results, subtitle edits and exports locally on your Mac. The bundled Whisper model needs no account or server and does not upload this content to the developer or third parties.

Local storage and file access

The app saves a local project cache and a security-scoped bookmark for your selected video to restore edits. It reads the selected video's path, size and modification time to match cache entries. This information stays on your Mac. Recognition also creates local temporary audio and subtitle files.

Use Settings → Local Data → Clear Local Project Cache to delete saved project edits. This does not delete source videos, exported files or necessarily all system temporary files. You choose the source video and export folder.

Analytics and tracking

The app uses no advertising SDKs, analytics, cross-app tracking or accounts. This website sets no analytics cookies and includes no advertising, analytics scripts or upload forms.

Website visits

Hosting and network providers may process your IP address, request time, requested path and browser information to deliver pages, protect the website and diagnose problems. Website traffic is separate from the app's entirely local transcription.

Email support

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide, solely to respond and resolve your request. Email is processed by the email provider and retained as needed to handle support. You may request deletion of support emails, subject to legal retention requirements. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
